Concertina Critters, illuminated farm animal images, and Jelly Monsters, dancing and wobbling over the road with the use of flashing lights, were features of the Queen's Promenade Illuminations in 2013. On Fridays in September, from approximately pm to pm, Blackpool hosts a World Fireworks Championship. Teams from Ireland, China and France featured in 2013. The fireworks displays are located on the North Pier and are here seen, looking south towards a green lights Blackpool Tower, from the The Cliffs, near the Genting Club.
