Cummings, so many years identified withSt. Stephens Church. The Rev. Mr. Macdowall was born in 1841, and wassent at an early age to that great seminary of the Ameri-can Church, Mount St. Marys, Emmittsburg. After hiscourse there, having devoted himself to the service of Godin his church, he completed his divinity studies in theCollege of the Propaganda at Rome.
