They have upward of150 dwelling houses for the plantation employes, in addi-tion to the superintendents dwellings, stables, cattle sheds,etc. They operate eight large plantations, and. in addi-tion to their tobacco crop, cultivate about 2,000 acres ofland each year in corn, oats, sugar-cane, rice, potatoes, peas,etc. Their headquarters are in the town of Quincy, wherethey have two large cigar factories; one is a brick building125 by 124 feet, the other a two-story frame building 90by 100 feet.
