Jordan Hill Roman Temple is on a hill overlooking the sea a little to the east of Weymouth, Dorset. It was in use between the first and fourth centuries AD. It was excavated in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The site was formerly the property of the Ministry of Works, a government department set up in 1940. The sign is an example of the type installed by the Ministry. It is now the property of English Heritage.
