Restored the leading lights of High Low Dovercourt lighthouse an old Victorian cast iron example of engineering no longer used


The two iron towers were built by Trinity House 1863 to aid navigation into the River Orwell on which the busy ports of Felixtowe and Harwich are located. They are a 6 Legged tower painted black 14 metres high. They were used until 1917 to guide ships around Landguard Point. The beach is a winner of the European blue flag being one of the UK's cleanest
