A landscape view of the meteo observatory on the Sniezka summit (1603 metres) and Strzecha Akademicka mountain shelter located Karkonosze National (The Krknose or Giant Mountains) are mountain ranges located in the north of the Czech Republic and the south-west of Poland. The Karkonosze are a unique example of the alpine landscape in the area and have been a nature reserve since 1933.
