Gas fired power station. Aerial view over the Electrabel combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station at Drogenbos, Belgium. The large cooling tower (white) can be seen at centre left. This power plant uses hot gases produced by the combustion of natural gas to power a turbine and produce electricity. It then uses the heat from the gases to turn water into steam. This steam is used to turn a second generator, producing more electricity.
