He wascommissioned colonel of militia by Governor Barry,and took an active part in the formation of the Curtenius Guards. In July, 1845, he was married to Deborah , of Colchester, Delaware Co., N. Y., whereshe was born in March, 1813 ; she came to Michi-gan in 1837.
