Nanna Holm, Chief Curator at the Danish Castle Center, work on excavated remains from burned wooden pillars which was part of the Northern gate in this newly found Viking Ring Castle. There are 4 Ring Castles in Denmark, the last discovered for 60 years ago. “With this discovery and modern techniques we can bring new lights to why these castle were built, who built them and why they were burned down and much more,” she says.
