Vaginitis Emphysematosa.—This is a special disease that occurs almostexclusively during pregnancy and disappears after delivery. There is little orno discharge resultant from it, and few symptoms, so that it often passes un-noticed. It is characterized by small blebs of the vaginal surface, which some-. Fig. 52.—Chronic power. The etiology of this condition has not been clearly proved, but it is sup-posed, on fairly good evidence, that it is the result of some gas-forming bacillus.
