PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 8, 2015) The Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) and fleet replenishment oiler USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) line up alongside Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) for an underway replenishment. Essex is the flagship of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU), is currently operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
