Tourists at the Shuzenji Temple in Shizuoka Japan Asia


This temple was the birthplace of Shuzenji hot springs, has been in the center of this town. The Great Buddhist monk Kukai founded it in the 9th century. It was the most formal in Izu area. In the 15th century, it was converted to the Soto Sect from the Shingon Sect by the castellan Soun Hojo.
