Former IRA member Patrick Magee returns to Brighton for the first time since bombing the Grand Hotel. Magee was in the City meeting with Jo Berry whose father Sir Anthony Berry was one of five people killed in the blast at the Grand Hotel


Former Provisional Irish Republican Army volunteer Patrick Magee walks through the graveyard of St Nicholas in Brighton on his first visit to the town since planting a bomb in the Grand Hotel. The bomb was intended to kill the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher who was staying at the hotel during the Conservative Party conference in the town, it exploded at 2:54 on 12 October 1984, killing five people and injuring 34.
