Soldiers assigned to 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment assemble body armor at the Central Issue Facility on Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany. The body armor, which is the new Modular Scalable Vest, is part of a Rapid Fielding Initiative, or RFI, issue of new equipment brought to Europe by Program Executive Office Soldier. Using its CIF teams, several 405th Army Field Support Brigade Logistics Readiness Centers were tasked with assisting PEO Soldier with issuing the next generation equipment to Soldiers in Germany, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria.
