An Ashy Bulbul perched on a tree root in North East Thailand


The Ashy Bulbul is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, ranging across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland and montane forests. In this image the bird has come down to the forest floor close to a small pool where it frequntly bathes. The location is in Phukhieu Wildlife Sanctuary in North East Thailand
