This is the tallest sand dune within the Marthyr Mawr sand dunes area and is so high as the ridge has a pathway along the top funnelling the wind blown sand along the top and over the edge that can be seen here keeping it constantly topped up and growing, this dune is particularly popular with walkers who can slide down the sands although the walk back up is hard work !
