This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Martian crater. Mars Express satellite image of an hourglass-shaped impact crater in the Promethei Terra area of Mars. The crater is unusual because it appears that a glacier of ice-rich material had flowed from the small 9 kilometre wide crater (left) into the larger 16 kilometre wide crater below (centre). The ice may have precipitated from the atmosphere several million years ago. Data for this image were obtained by the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) on ESA's Mars Express.
