A view of Long Island. Long Island, Zambia, that is, in the Zambezi River around 5 km upstream from Victoria Falls. The land in the foreground is part of a larger island called Siloka Island. There is no development on these islands and elephants and other wildlife abound on them. The land to the rear is in Zimbabwe, around the Amazambezi River Lodge and VIc Falls Boat Club. The vast expanse behind is part of the Zambezi National Park. This was taken from the first, and so far only, helicopter flight I have ever taken.
