The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a series of sidewalks along both sides of a 15-block segment of Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, USA that serves as a permanent public monument to achievement in the entertainment industry. More than 2,500 5-pointed terrazzo and brass stars are embedded at 6-foot ( m) intervals over a combined miles ( km). The stars recognize an eclectic mix of actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, fictional characters, and others for their entertainment contributions.
