Bicalutamide drug binding to receptor. Molecular model of the drug bicalutamide (lower right) binding to a receptor protein (ribbons). Bicalutamide is a drug used in the treatment of prostate cancer and hirsutism. It is an oral non-steroidal anti-androgen that works by binding to androgen receptors. The atoms (spheres) of the drug are colour-coded: carbon (light grey), hydrogen (white), fluorine (green), nitrogen (blue), oxygen (red), and sulphur (yellow).
