Standing Stones of Stenness is a neolithic monument on the nowadays Orkney Islands in Scotland and was built around 3100 BCE. Four out of the formerly twelve roughly five meter high stones of the circle are still standing today. This monument is older than Stonehenge in England and the Great Pyramids in Egypt. Der steinzeitliche Steinkreis Standing Stones of Stenness auf den Orkney-Inseln wurde etwa 3100 v. Chr. errichtet. Von einst zwölf Steinen stehen heute noch vier, sie sind bis zu 5,70 Meter hoch. Dieser Steinkreis ist älter als der Steinkreis Stonehenge in England und die Pyramiden in Ägypten.
