"Kossuth" restaurant boat and Széchenyi Chain Bridge. Budpest, Hungary


Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a famous landmark in Budapest and is s suspension bridge that spans the River Danube connecting Buda (in the west) and Pest (in the east). The bridge was designed by the English civil engineer William Tierney Clark in 1839. It opened in 1849 as the first bridge in the Hungarian capital. Photograph is looking westward toward the Buda area of Budapest.
