Up to 600 activists were joined by former detainees to take part in a demonstration at the Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Centre near Bedford. Organised by the activist group Movement For Justice (MFJ) and supported by numerous organisations, hundreds of protesters were ferried in from as far away as Glasgow by coaches,cars and minibuses. The activists demand that Yarl’s Wood is shut down and are calling for a complete end to the practice of immigration detention.
