Paul Kruger President of South Africa
Most of the photographs in our archive were taken in the late Victorian period or early 1900s. Some are later and, where this is the case, we've given an indication of the date. Most are taken from original glass slides and, as such, they are (in today's terminology) high resolution. The location, where one is given, is taken from the caption that was on the original photograph when we purchased it and is probably accurate but may not be. Where an image is coloured, it is not a colour photograph. It was hand-coloured at the time it was originally published. The Keasbury-Gordon Photograph Archive.
