I am located in north- western Ohio. C. W. S. For main flows and returns, run two 4-inch pipes through the workroom and along the north side of the lean-to. From one of the mains take off three 2%-inch pipes to run through the larger house to the farther end; with the other main supply two 2^4-inch flows for the wide house and then reduce it to a 2%-inch flow pipe to be extended to the east end of the lean-to, where it should be connected with seven 2- inch returns. In the large house carry one flow under the ridge, two upon the plates and the remaining two flows under the purlins. For the returns in this house, use fifteen 2-inch pipes, three of which will be supplied at the north end by each of the five 214-inch flow pipes, and, after placing three of the returns on each wall, distribute the others under the benches. In the lean-to all of the pipes can be on the south wall, or a part of them can be on the sides of the solid beds. This plan will answer for the present house, and when the addition is made it will merely be necessary to extend the pipes through it.
