See if you are not able to do more work, keep in better health, and study and learn more than ever before. How many of you would like to try it? The first thing for you to do then will be to get "cleaned ; Can you not set aside a "clean-up day" or a "good-health day"—they really mean the same—when you can, all come and see to it that everything in and about the schoolroom is thoroughly cleaned? How many of you are willing to help and think you can bring from home the necessary cleaning materials? You must allow sufficient time before this day so you can plan all the work systematically and discuss just what needs to be done. What is meant by cleaning systematically, anyhow? It means considering what there is to be done, listing and planning the order of work so that each duty will fit into the next, and so that the performance of any one duty will not interfere with what has gone before and what is to come after. This is what the housekeeper does when she plans her work for the day or the week. Each duty is done at the most economical time and in the most economical way. Thus she is enabled to accomplish the most in the least time. Now let us stop and think of the different things which must be done in order to put your room in order.
