Neanderthal skeleton. Close-up of a replica of the skeleton of a Neanderthal (Homo neanderthalensis) found in the Kebara Cave, Israel, in 1982. This skeleton dates from around 60,000 years ago and is the most complete Neanderthal skeleton yet found (as of 2011), however the skull and most of the lower limbs are missing.
