Roughing-In Waste Pipe for Bath-tub and Lavatory After the soil pipe is complete, the nextstep is to install the waste pipe which is totake the waste water from the bathtub andlavatory, see Installation No. 1. Into thecloset bend screw a 1%-ineh nipple with aiya-inch 45-degree drainage elbow on theend of it. Then into the 45-degree elbow. screw another short nipple with another45-degree drainage elbow on the end of this manner you will form an offset tolift the drain pipe for the lavatory andbathtub to a position just below the the second 45-degree elbow screw apiece of ly-inch pipe with a 1%-inchdrainage tee on the end of it, the pipe beinglong enough to bring this drainage tee im-mediately below the center of the trap ofthe lavatory. Into the drainage tee screwanother piece of 1%-inch pipe with anotherdrainage tee on theend of it, this last pipeto be long enough to reach from the lavatoryto within about (j inches of where the drumtrap for the bathtub will be set.
