The Port of Rotterdam is the largest seaport in Europe, and the world's largest outside Asia Its scale is simply mind boggling, covering 105 square kilometres in area and stretching over a distance of 40 kilometres from the North Sea to the International Cruise Terminal and City Centre; if you arrive by sea, as we did, it takes well over 3 hours to do this. Here we are near the end of the journey - the downtown area is just around this bend. This kind of serious pollution is unusual - most un-Dutch!
