The Pitchmarket is a picturesque terrace of ancient sixteenth century Tudor cottages in Abbey Street, Cerne Abbas. Dorset, England, United Kingdom.

This group of Grade 1 Listed Tudor cottages in Abbey Street, Cerne Abbas, are known collectively as “The Pitchmarket”. They date from the early 16th century, and get their name from the market once held in the street, where millers “pitched” for corn. It was reputedly once owned by Thomas Washington, uncle of George Washington the first president of the United States.
