Pilcher, with a meeting, smoker and refreshments. Mr. Pilcher was the club's president in 1914. The members assembled in the whole- sale district, where automobiles were waiting to convey them to the meeting place. Sixty-five were present. Before the meeting opened the members in- spected this up-to-date establishment of 21,000 square feet of glass, under which only roses of high quality are grown. President W. A. Rowe railed the meeting to order, with all oflieers pres- ent. The regular routine opening work was first gone over. The chair called for reports of all committees. The trus- tees reported through Chairman A. W. Guiiiz that they had arranged for the annual picnic for the florists and their friends. This will be held July 27 at Normandy grove. The club made its usual appropriation for defraying the expense. None of the other committees had anything of interest to report. Oscar C. May, state vice-president of the S. A. F., who has the club's transportation in charge, reported that he had not as yet completed his ar- rangements for the Kansas City trip and that apparently the St. Louis party will be the largest ever. Definite ar- rangements will be reported at the July meeting. The membership committee reported nineteen applicants for membership. Of these the committee had ten: F. A. Windier, four; H. G. Berning, two; Philip Giehel, two, and E. Bicms, one. The new applicants were as follows: I1. A. Hoerr, John W. Steidle, John Kern, Miss G. Malloy, John Masek, Os- car Lekingse, A. Jensen, R. Muehleberg, Louis Grimm, August Kunz, George SIOUX CITY, IA. ART FLOWER SHOP 512 FIFTH STREET Everythins in Cot Fl
