HMS ILLUSTRIOUS, returning from a two year refit at Rosyth Dockyard has returned to service and become the fleets flagship. no other platform gives the capability and command/control facilities of an aircraft carrier. ship motto - "vox non incerta" (no uncertain sound). she can carry a mix of FA2 & GR7 Harriers, Sea King & Merlin helicopters.
