Burghs Cathedral from the viewpoint

The king Alfonso VI promoted the building of a cathedral dedicated to the Virgin Mary which traces are not known, but is supposed to Romanesque and the type of contemporary works (the former church of Silos, the Monastery of San Pedro de Arlanza, San Martin de Frómista or Jaca cathedral). There is documentation that the king gave to the great work the room they occupied a palace that had belonged to his father Ferdinand I and a small church dedicated to Santa Maria and was under construction.
