When I was informed about this affair the next day,I immediately went to the Prime Minister, asking himto intercede in favor of Mr. Seidel, and if possible havehim set free, as I knew he was not guilty of any actcharged against him by the Germans. Mr. Marghilomankindly promised me to do so, and to this action of mine,and the employment of an able Germanophile lawyer,who was paid royally, Mr. Seidel is indebted for hisdischarge and Prince B.
