Selkirk, UK. 21st Sept 2014. Selkirk Vintage Rally Local Council started Selkirk rally in 1993, the objective was to encourage tourism in the Scottish Borders. The Selkirk Rally Committee took over the running the rally in 2006 and has grown now to one of the largest in Scotland. The Selkirk Rally Committee took over the running the rally in 2006 and has grown now to one of the largest in Scotland. Our greatest achievement was to win the award in 2007 for promoting the Scottish Borders. The rally is held annually on the third Sunday of September. Having 32 classes taking in all modes of transport, including Agriculture and Steam, One make car clubs find our event a great end of season get together and come in large numbers. Each Class is judged and a trophy awarded. There is also a huge amount of Auto Jumble, Crafts and Charity. With usually over 1600 entries, enthusiasts, who come from all over the country and help make it, the great rally it is today (Photo: Rob Gray)
