Resolved, That we, the Lower Creek Baptist , do agree to advise our churches to abstain from everyappearance of evil, particularly that of drinking ardent spiritsat all public gatherings; and if any are so stubborn that theyrefuse this counsel, that they be dealt with as for other trans-gressions; and we also recommend a strict discipline to be keptup by the churches, as is found in the New Testament. 4th. Resolved, That the Association return her thanks to thecitizens of this vicinity for their kind hospitality during thissession. Which report was unanimously adopted and the committeedischarged. 21st.
