Sheffield Town Hall Fountain Angled


The Town Hall is a magnificent grade I listed building situated at the heart of Sheffield City Centre. The elegance and detail of the interior and the imposing exterior make the Town Hall one of Sheffield’s most impressive buildings it is made of Derbyshire stone with an ornate interior of wonderful stonework, Italian marble, mosaic floors and ornate plaster ceilings. The four committee rooms, conference room and ante room are ideal for boardroom meetings. The building was officially opened on 21st May 1897 by Queen Victoria. it was not until 1923 that an extension was added,. opened by the Prince of Wales, twenty-six years after Queen Victoria had performed the original opening ceremony. A bronze statue of Vulcan stands atop the 200-foot clock tower, a symbol of Sheffield’s steel industry. A stunning backdrop to th peace gardens.
