Interior of the Green Room at Rungstedlund, Karen Blixen's home, now a museum, in Rungsted, on the coastal road 20 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Left Harald Isenstein's bust of Karen Blixen. Karen Blixen was born at Rungstedlund, and she returned in 1931 following 17 years as a farmer in Africa. She lived at Rungstedlund until her death in 1962 and here she wrote her internationally renowned stories.
