A gold-inlaid Ottoman kilij, circa 1820, Single-edged blade, broadening at the double-edged point (broken and soldered at the root). Under the cross bar on both sides ornamental gold inlay, on the obverse two gold-inlaid calligraphic cartouches. Engraved brass quillons with riveted horn grips. Wooden, shagreen leather covered and wire sewn scabbard with florally chased nickel silver and brass mounts. Length 87 cm.
