Seeds should be sown as early as possible in good, rich soil, in trenches 8 inches deep ; cover about an inch, and as they grow draw up the earth around them until the trench is full, taking care not to cover the plants ; give plenty of moisture and a sunny situation. The flowers should be cut before seeds begin to form. The first sowing of Sweet Peas may be made very early in the spring, as soon as the frost is out of the ground.
