Jordan, Petra, Statues carved in the wall of the narrow slot canyon called the Siq which leads to the ruins of the Nabataean city of Petra in the Petra Archeological Park is a Jordanian National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At left is a camel, with a man standing at right. Thousands of years of flash flooding has destroyed much of the statues.
