III Marine Expeditionary Force (III MEF) and Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) leadership give a thumbs up before receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at the Naval Hospital Okinawa, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 12, 2021. The vaccine is crucial in the fight against COVID-19 and is essential in mitigating further spread of the ongoing virus. III MEF and MCIPAC leadership received their vaccines as part of DoD’s phased approach to remain a lethal and ready expeditionary fighting force.
