There is nothing brighter or clearer among yellows; the center is folded close, the outer petals are broad and incurving, and of great substance. It is full to the last de- gree, of great depth, and perfect in form. Gettysburg—This is a deep crimson va- riety, and excels in its color. Deep, rich crimson, which in the flower itself is soft and velvet-like. The outer petals are broad and drooping, and have a lustrous sheen in the sunlight. The form is flat, with droop- ing outer petals, which gives it a very graceful appearance. Kioto—No engraving can do justice to this unique and beautiful variety. The color is deep yellow, with a peculiar waxy lustre; petals incurved and twisted; a free bloomer. L. Canning—A most beautiful variety; absolutely pure white flowers, quite regu- lar in form, very large and flat, the length of the petals graduating to the center; re- minds one of a large satin rosette. rirs.
