A portrait of British horticulturalist T W Gilderstone (also printed as Girdlestone) and the Tom Thumb dahlias he developed. A press cutting from Vicks 1878. His stocks were marketed by Messrs. J. Cheal & Sons, of Crawley England in 1880 and were temporarily named 'Tom Pouce' (1891) and re-modified as Coltness Gem 1918.
