A pewter tankard of a shoemaker, Lauenburg an der Elbe, dated 1691 Slender, conically widening pewter body on a tiered, bell-shaped foot. On the front engraved the owner's name "Christoffer Sprengel Anno 1691" above a double-headed eagle and a boot. Hinged lid with palmette-shaped thumb lever. At the socket of the handle the stamped mark of the city and twice stamped mark of the master , who has been working in Lauenburg from 1668 on.
