A Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper helicopter with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepares to land aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), off the coast of Okinawa, July 20, 2024. VMM-262 (Rein.) conducted the fly on to prepare for future missions as part of the patrol. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
