CI mums, perhaps more than usual, clear up to Christmas, but they will not cut much figure after this week. Pompons will continue longer. Some of the best bunck mums of the season are yet to be cut. Eoscs have not been in large supply for some little time, the low prices being due, not to a glut of roses, but to the prevalence of the chrysanthemum. In every city and town there have been home-grown mums to be sold and the retailers have pushed them instead of sending to Chicago for roses. They have pushed pompons instead of sending to Chicago for carnations. Each year it is more or less the same. Rose prices will improve and carnations will become good property as soon as the country florists have used up their mums and pompons. There is a shortage of corsage flowera. There have not been many violets aa yet. either local singles or New York.
