Peter Marshall is a reporter presenter on BBC regional North West location live broadcast from Ambleside Pier head Peter joined North West Tonight from BBC Radio Lancashire in the mid 90s. He's a History graduate and started his career in journalism on the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. One of his strangest stories was covering the escape of three lions from a circus who rampaged across the town! Since joining NWT, Peter has worked on a number of major stories including the Manchester IRA bomb in 1996; raising Donald Campbell's Bluebird from the bottom of Coniston Water and the cocklepicking tragedy on Morecambe Bay. Peter occasionally presents North West Today and the late news bulletin
