Double ring water trough below Barker Dam built by area pioneer Bill Keys in 1939. Joshua Tree National Park, California, USA.

The double ring water trough located below Barker Dam was built by area pioneer Bill Keys and his son Willis in June 1939. The water trough was used for the cattle that the family ran in the area. Water was piped from a catch basin below the dam into the water trough. The purpose of the center ring was to protect the float, which controlled the flow of water, from damage by the cattle.
