White with rich yellow tinge; juicy, few seeds, almost free from pulp, excellent quality; above medium size, adheres firmly to stem. Vine like Concord in growth, hardiness and foliage. Fine variety for both mar- ket and home garden. Empire State—Very large bunch, medium size ber- ries, juicy, rich, sweet and sprightly; continues for a long time fit to use. Green Mountain—(YVinchell.) An extra early va- riety from Vermont. Skin thin, pulp tender and sweet, quality superb. Bunch and berry medium size. Vine hardy, vigorous and productive. 1 yr., 20c; 2 yrs., 30c. Lady—A well known seedling of the Concord, pos- sessing nearly all its vigor, ripening early. Skin thin, pulp sweet and rich, slightly vinous. Good for family use and near markets. Leader—A strong, vigorous, hardy variety, not sub- ject to rot or mildew, and succeeding wherever the Concord will do well. Bunch and berry of fair size and excellent quality. All who like an extra sweet, high-flavored grape should try the NIAGARA. Niagara—Occupies the same position among the white varieties as Concord among the black; the leading profitable market sort.
